Alh. Adamu Bello


Mallam Bello holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1975). He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from University of Pittsburgh (1982). He attended Harvard Business School’s six-week Advanced Management Program (AMP) in 1990.

Dr. Kole Shettima


Kole Shettima is a Political Scientist, trained at University of Maiduguri, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and University of Toronto. Prior to joining the MacArthur Foundation in 1999 as Director, he taught at the University of Maiduguri, University of Toronto and Ohio University. He has publication in many journals including Africa Studies Review and Review of African Political Economy. Kole Shettima seats on the Boards and Advisory Councils of several organizations including the Centre for Democracy and Development, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation and Centre for Information Technology and Development.


Sheikh Adam A. Idoko


Sheikh Adam Abdullahi Idoko was born in the year 1958 in Umuogbo Ekposhi, Enugu Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State. He attended Islamic University of Madina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the year 1980 to 1984. Secondary Institute, Islamic University of Madina from 1978 to 1980; Arabic Institute of Nigeria, Ibadan from 1975 to 1977; Mallam Madaina Qur’anic/islamiyya School, Keffi, Nasarawa State, from 1970 to 1974; Primary/Islamiyya School, Enugu Ezike, from 1964 to 1970. Sheikh Adam Abdullahi Idoko attended many trainings; workshops and seminars on Arabic; Islam; Hajj/crowd management; Da’awah and Dialogue; Peace Building and Conflict Resolution Strategies, etc. Sheikh Abdullahi Adam Idoko is presently the Chief Imam of Central Mosque, University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Director, Islamic Education Peace and Development Centre, Enugu Ezike, Enugu State; Principal Unity Islamic Secondary School, Enugu Ezike, Enugu State; Chairman, Enugu State Muslim Council; Part-time Member, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria; Vice President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Jama’atu Nasril Islami, Enugu State; President General, League of Islamic Scholars and Missionaries of Eastern Nigeria; Deputy Secretary General, Council of Ulama of Nigeria. But before then he held many positions among which are: Chairman, Enugu State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, 1992 to 1995; Secretary, Anambra State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, 1988 to 1992.




Hajiya Amina Ladan-Baki, MON


Born in Kankiya Local government of Kastina State. She attended Sidcot School, Winscombe, Somerset, England and Taunto Technical College, Taunto, England for her O’ Level and A’ Level Certificates. She graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with Bachelor of Arts in 1975. She later bagged her Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy & Admin from University of Wales, United Kingdom in 1978; Certificate in Human Resources Studies from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2000; Postgraduate Diploma in Management and master’s in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano from 2000 to 2002.

Haj. Amina is currently the Director of Programs, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Kaduna.

Dr. Bashir Imam Aliyu


Dr. Bashir Imam Aliyu, an indigene of Adamawa State is a holder of PhD. in Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic University of Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He is a member Board of Trustee, Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation. A lecturer at the Federal College of Education, Yola.


Hajiya Zainab Abdurrahman


Hajiya Zainab Abdurrahman is a founding member of JOWI and currently a pioneer board member. She is a graduate of B.Sc Economics from the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Her working experience spanned the Upstream, Downstream and Investments business sectors in NNPC. She is currently the CEO of Zinley Energy Services Ltd and a Board Member in selected companies. She is highly result oriented and works tenaciously with commitment, dedication and diligence. She is married with children and grandchildren.
